About Us
The CLA In Brief
The Canadian Longevity Association (CLA) is Canada’s national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing healthy aging and longevity. We bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, and the public to accelerate longevity research, promote evidence-based policy, educate Canadians, and help ensure future longevity innovations are safe, affordable, and accessible to everyone.
Our goal is simple:
Help Canadians live longer, healthier, and more independent lives.
What We do
- Support longevity research
- Educate Canadians about healthy aging
- Connect researchers, healthcare professionals, and organizations
- Advocate for policies that improve healthy lifespan
- Build partnerships that advance longevity science in Canada
Who We Are
The Canadian Longevity Association was created because Canada needs a national organization focused specifically on healthy aging and longevity.
As advances in science continue to improve our understanding of aging, Canada has an opportunity to become a global leader in longevity research and innovation. The CLA works to connect researchers, healthcare professionals, governments, businesses, and communities to turn scientific discoveries into real-world health benefits.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity not only to live longer, but to enjoy more years in good health.
Our Mission
To accelerate the introduction of effective longevity treatments and ensure equitable access to all Canadians.
“Our mission guides everything we do—from public education and research advocacy to building partnerships that advance healthy aging across Canada.”
Our Vision
We envision a future where Canadians live longer, healthier lives through scientific innovation, public education, and equitable access to evidence-based longevity interventions.
Our goal is to help Canada become one of the world’s leading countries in healthy aging and longevity innovation.
Why Longevity Matters
Canada’s population is aging rapidly.
The challenge isn’t simply helping people live longer—it’s helping them remain healthier, more independent, and free from chronic disease for as many years as possible.
Longevity science focuses on preventing age-related diseases, extending healthy lifespan, and improving quality of life. Advances in this field have the potential to reduce healthcare costs, strengthen communities, and improve the well-being of future generations.
The Canadian Longevity Association is committed to making these advances accessible to all Canadians through education, advocacy, collaboration, and public engagement.
Our History
The Canadian Longevity Association was federally incorporated in 2021 to address one of Canada’s greatest future healthcare challenges: healthy aging.
Recognizing the rapid growth of longevity science around the world, the founders established the CLA to create a national organization dedicated to advancing research, public awareness, collaboration, and policy development in Canada.
Since its founding, the CLA has continued building partnerships across academia, healthcare, government, and industry to help position Canada as a leader in longevity innovation.
