The CLA In Brief
The Canadian Longevity Association (CLA) is dedicated to pioneering advancements in the field of longevity research. Our mission is to position Canada as a central hub and critical player in the emerging global longevity industry. We are a federally incorporated nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals, organisations, and governments in Canada in efforts to extend the longevity and healthspan of Canadians.
Healthspan refers to the period of life during which an individual remains healthy, free from serious disease and disability. The importance of extending the healthspan lies in its potential to reduce the burden of age-related diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and dementia, thereby improving overall quality of life for individuals and reducing healthcare costs for society.
While the publicly funded Canadian healthcare system provides robust support for clear medical needs, many interventions to extend one’s longevity and healthspan are still outside the scope of the traditional medical system or too nascent to be integrated. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that Canadian individuals who are keen to explore these advancements have access to them in Canada, allowing for their evaluation, testing, and potential wider adoption to benefit all Canadians.
Our mission includes:
Advocating for governmental support of longevity and healthspan initiatives.
Supporting individuals and organisations in Canada in efforts related to extending the longevity and healthspan of Canadians.
Celebrating Canadian contributions to the field of longevity and geroprotection.
Disseminating basic research related to geroprotection and finding on interventions related to longevity and healthspan.
Collaborating with international organisations who are involved in the promotion of in the science of longevity and healthspan extension.
Our mission is to responsibly advocate for access and support of interventions to improve the longevity and healthspan of Canadians, but we need your support. Joining as a member lets us build a community that aids us in our advocacy efforts. Together, we can promote a healthier, longer life for all Canadians.

Sustainable Longevity for All Canadians
The coming decades will usher in a medical revolution that will significantly enhance human health and longevity. Research advances are already creating breakthroughs that treat previously incurable diseases, and innovations in the science of aging promise to address age-related diseases and their corresponding decline. Extensive research findings have shown that this future is a near-certainty; however, the speed of its arrival depends on the actions we take today.
The Canadian Longevity Association stands at the forefront as Canada’s premiere organization advocating for enhanced longevity policies, disseminating cutting-edge research to the public, coordinating collaboration among researchers, partnering with global longevity organizations, and creating the necessary infrastructure from research to manufacturing and productization. Our mission is to accelerate treatments, increase healthy lifespans, improve outcomes, and make longevity treatments more affordable for all Canadians.
Canada is poised to lead this crucial research, not only for its humanitarian benefits but also due to the significant economic potential of this industry. By driving advancements in healthcare and longevity treatments, we aim to elevate Canada’s national stature and ensure we remain a global leader in disseminating advanced health technologies.
The CLA is the first and only national non-profit organization of its kind dedicated to realizing this unique vision. We unite research scientists, policymakers, medical practitioners, technologists, financing experts, administrative personnel, and more to forge a clear path in the fight against aging. Together, we are establishing a definitive roadmap to achieving better health for all Canadians.
